UPLB Women Philosophers

In this webinar, two Filipino feminist philosophers from University of the Philippines-Los Baños, Ms. Krissah Marga Taganas and Ms. Eula Junina Miranda, share their most recent research in the fields of philosophy of education and philosophy of religion, respectively.

About the speakers:

Prof. Krissah Marga Taganas is an assistant professor of Philosophy at the University of the Philippines Los Baños. She currently serves as the Head of the Philosophy Division in the Department of Humanities. She finished her MA studies at UP Diliman and completed the Libori Summer School in Teaching Women Philosophers in Paderborn, Germany. She also presented her MA thesis in the same workshop and her other feminist pragmatist works during the Feminist Pragmatism Colloquium in New York. She has published papers in feminist philosophy and philosophy of education. Asst. Prof. Taganas teaches Ethics, Socio-Political Philosophy, and Feminist Philosophy, among others.

Prof. Eula Junina Miranda Blanco teaches Philosophy at the University of the Philippines Los Baños. She graduated magna cum laude from the same university with a bachelor's degree in Philosophy, and earned her master's degree in the same field at the University of the Philippines Diliman. Her areas of interest are Philosophy of Religion, Feminist Philosophy, and Ethics, among others.
