In this recorded video, we celebrate the works of bell hooks through two lectures. The first is “Learning to Teach from bell hooks” by Dr. Jean Tan and the second is “Understanding Men from a Feminist Perspective: A Reading of bell hooks’ Will to Change and Feminism is for Everybody” by Dr. Marella Bolaños. The event is moderated by Cassandra Teodosio and Venus Ae Kaiel Basa, whereas Dr. Noelle Leslie Dela Cruz provides the introduction.
Speakers and bios:
Dr. Jean Tan is Associate Professor at Ateneo de Manila University. A long-time member of the Philosophy Faculty, she is now affiliated with the Interdisciplinary Studies Department.
Dr. Marella Bolaños is Associate Professor at the University of Santo Tomas, Department of Philosophy. Her research interests include Feminism, Philosophy of Childhood and Philosophy for Children.
